Accessibility begins at the design stage
When designing Funpass’s new digital service, we did not audit a completed interface. Instead, we integrated accessibility considerations as the UI design was being created. We supplemented the Figma designs with detailed professional recommendations so the development team could work to WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines from implementation onwards. Rather than setting out requirements in separate documentation, we added accessibility recommendations and best practices directly to the screens in the Figma file. After handing over the documentation, we also provided expert support so the development team could address implementation questions quickly and in line with the standards.
